VERA
Since a young age I've always practiced sports, I discovered Pilates at a time when I was trying to recover from some health issues.
I just felt in love with it. It was a complete workout with precision and grace of movement that helped me recover.
I'm really curious person and always willing to learn, so I completed the Pilates course, but it never crossed my mind to actually become a teacher. At the time I just wanted to learn for myself to be able to became better in my practice. The opportunity came thanks to my teacher that gave me the little push that was probably needed.
After having taught in many different places and with different people, I have learned that each individual is unique and that's what makes this discipline wonderful, that everyone can learn in their own way and progress. I felt that I needed more knowledge to be capable of providing adequate answers to help my clients as much as possible.
For this I then trained as a Fitness Instructor and kept doing more specialist Pilates courses such as Pilates for Kids and Teenagers in Madrid, Spain, Pilates Pre Natal and Post Partum in Porto, Portugal and Low Pressure Fitness in Lisbon, Portugal.
Completing Massage Therapy courses really complemented my skills on the holistic therapy side to be able to provide an environment for relaxation of the body and mind.
The Yoga & YogaTherapy Instructor course came about one year after my Pilates journey started.
I am always learning and keep myself updated on therapies and methods. Recent finished Neuromuscular Physical Therapy which I am learned more skills and knowlegde for better attending my clients needs.
I feel blessed with the opportunity to learn and practice all these amazing activities that have brought health, joy and calmness to my body and mind.
Having the opportunity to share that knowledge and to help people in the same way that has helped me is the most important to me.
I'm truly grateful for everyone that has crossed this journey that has brought me to where I am now, happy and doing what I most Love.
Gratitude
